What makes me different from other local wedding officiants?
Why should someone hire me?

I'm a very "down-to-earth" type Minister. I'm easy to get along with. I enjoy making my couples happy. This is something I do because I have felt this calling for quite some time.

Having a wedding minister confirmed to do your ceremony who is responsible and fun will take a load off of your mind.

How far are you willing to travel?
Is there a travel fee?

I cover most of the Linn, Lane and Benton counties. If you live over 40 miles from my home is Halsey, Oregon, there is a 40 cent per mile charge (one-way) to cover my travel expenses.

What kind of pre-wedding counseling is required, if any?

None is required. I'm not a counselor. There are professionals available to do that, if you feel it is important. I can offer advice based on my personal experience..

How long does the ceremony usually last?

It all depends on how elaborate you want the ceremony to be. It takes as long as it takes—it can be as short as 10 minutes or it can be longer. Many things go into the ceremony. It's all about giving you, the couple, the ceremony you want. If, in addition to the vows, you plan to recite poems or music it will take longer. It's all up to you.

How long after the ceremony do you file for the official marriage license?

The required documents are placed in the mail the next business day.
